Outdoor Newborn Photography | Holladay, Utah
We might need to make outdoor newborn sessions a bigger thing! The Roper family’s outdoor newborn session in Holladay, Utah, was absolutely magical.
They had just welcomed their beautiful baby girl and wanted something natural, warm, and full of connection. A dreamy outdoor session felt just right.
Family Pictures with a Toddler
Like many parents of toddlers, the Ropers were a little unsure how big brother would feel about pictures that day. But the key? We let him be himself! We played little games, told silly jokes, and gave him plenty of room to explore and be wild in the best way. By the end, we were getting genuine smiles and sweet, snuggly moments that were real.
These are the kinds of sessions I adore—where families feel safe to relax, have fun, and just be together.
Why Outdoor Newborn Photography Works
Outdoor newborn sessions are such a special way to document your baby’s first days while also including the whole family in a meaningful, low-pressure way. You’re not boxed into a studio and you don’t have to worry about cleaning your house. You get the soft spring breeze, golden light, and room for toddlers to wiggle (and wander). In spring, this location in Holladay is stunning—with layers of green, tall grasses, and leafy trees that create the most peaceful backdrop.
Whether it’s spring, summer, or fall, this spot is one of my favorites for families who love natural beauty and a relaxed feel.
