I am now booking newborn family photos for the rest of Summer + Fall! I would absolutely ADORE capturing your precious growing family.
Flexible scheduling. First, we’ll work together to choose a date and time for your newborn picture session. I completely understand that babies have their own timelines, so if you reach out before baby is here, we will set a tentative time and confirm after they’re here.
Detail portraits. The star of the show here will be your newborn! We will spend time capturing all of the precious details of your new little babe – from their fuzzy head down to their beautiful toes. We can take a mix of swaddled and un-swaddled pictures of baby, so you have images to cherish for a lifetime.
Family shots. Don’t fret! Even though this is labeled a “newborn session” we will definitely take time to get pictures of mom, dad & any siblings, too. We’ll focus on getting a mix of lifestyle + posed pictures of everyone so you have a diverse gallery to swoon over.
A beautiful gallery forever. Your newborn family photos with me will include high-resolution, edited images delivered in a digital online gallery with the rights to print.
I would love to take your family pictures this year! If you’re interested in working together, please inquire through this form here or follow along with my work on Instagram.
I love being a Utah-based Newborn Photographer! And the main reason it’s so fun is because of my wonderful clients. Today, I’m highlighting some of the ultra-nice reviews people have shared on my website.
“She was so flexible when our baby came early and then again when we had to postpone due to some last minute doctors appointments. During our shoot, she was so kind and somehow made taking photos comfortable. Our photos were delivered so quickly and they are everything I dreamed of. 100% worth the investment – the photos of our sweet babe are priceless!”

“I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Chelsea while searching for someone to capture the first few days with our precious son and boy am I lucky to have found her!
Right from the start, Chelsea was sweet, upbeat, exciting and so helpful in scheduling our sessions. When the time came, she was more than accommodating with picking a time for our Fresh 48 pictures as well as scheduling a day for our at home Newborn session. Both times, I was blown away! She arrived when she said she would, with the cutest smile and personality to match. She was accommodating to our situations and jumped right in to get the shots that we were specifically looking for – the shots that are now memories we will cherish forever.
Its been four months and we still look at and talk about those sessions constantly – little pieces of magic that we can look back on whenever we want.
We are so lucky to have found Chelsea as our photographer and friend and we can’t wait for the future sessions that we know we will have with her!”
-Brytyn Polhemus
“Chelsea is so easy and fun to work with. She did our newborns and we were late booking her, but she made it work and we LOVE LOVE how our pictures turned out!! We couldn’t choose even just a couple of them, so I have almost all of them printed and around my house. She helped us pose naturally and they are flattering poses too. She helped us feel comfortable and confident. It was a great experience.”

If you’re in Utah, I would LOVE to take your newborn pictures! Please reach out to me here to book or follow along with my work on Instagram.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think taking beautiful pictures of cuddly newborns could be my JOB! But here I am, living the dream as a newborn photographer in Utah.
There are a lot of different types of offerings you can have as a Utah-based photographer. But shortly after launching my business I knew exactly what I wanted to spend my time on: families. And one of the very best parts of being a family photographer in Utah is getting to take LOTS of pictures of newborns.
I love EVERYTHING about Newborn sessions. From capturing all of the brand-new baby details to the radiating joy on mom + dads’ faces. And if there are some older siblings?? It’s pure bliss. Plus, you get to stare at cute baby faces while you edit!
If you’re expecting or recently added a new little one to your family, I would adore being your newborn photographer! Book me through my website form here or follow along with my work on Instagram.
One of my very favorite parts of being a photographer is capturing images of your littles! And one of the best ways I do that is through Childhood Mini Sessions twice a year.
My childhood minis are short, 5-minute long portrait sessions of your kiddos! Typically done in a studio, these are a pain free and affordable way to grab updated pictures of your child exactly as they are right now!
They’re quick. Lasting only 5 minutes long, you don’t have to worry about keeping your child happy and entertained during a long photoshoot. We go hard to get smiles quickly, while still capturing poses and images you’ll treasure. And bonus – if you have multiple children and book back to back sessions, we can squeeze in a few sibling shots, too.
They’re affordable. My main goal with my childhood mini sessions in Utah is to keep them affordable! Kids grow SO QUICKLY and I want you to be able to get professional pictures of them at a reasonable rate so you can remember them exactly how they are right now.
There’s no pressure. All you have to do is show up with your little one. You don’t have to coordinate outfits for you or your hubby. You don’t have to worry about washing your hair! Just get your kids to the utah-based studio and we’ll snap some pictures and have you on your way to soccer practice or the grocery store in no-time.
They freeze time. While sometimes as moms we don’t love the weird smile our kid has latched onto, the reality is they will only be sporting it for a short time. And as weird as it is, I guarantee you’re going to miss it (or their gap-toothed grins, skinned knees, etc). Short picture sessions for kids allow you to capture your little exactly as they are, RIGHT NOW, missing tooth and all.
I would love to take pictures of your kiddos! If you’re interested in a Childhood Mini slot, please follow along with my work on Instagram and watch for my upcoming dates!
I am *obsessed* with taking family pictures at Saltair. With a dreamy neutral background that is elegant and timeless, it may be my favorite family picture location in Utah.
Saltair is one of my most adored family picture locations in Utah because it is STUNNING year-round. If you’re a neutral-loving family, this place is photo friendly April-May and July-November. But here’s the deal: during June it is brimming with bugs + gnats, and I love you too much to let you deal with that.
So if you’re interested in getting your pictures taken at Saltair, let’s get it on the calendar!
Did you know that when you hire me as your family photographer, I am always happy to consult on outfits? I want to help you choose something that you feel confident in, will look good at the location and matches well with your family. So if you need opinions, feel free to text me your options!
I love the look of neutrals and earth tones at Saltair. However, with such a pretty classic backdrop, you can really make any look work here!
I would love to take your family pictures this year (whether it’s at Saltair or another pretty place)! If you’re interested in shooting with me, please reach out to me here or follow along with my work on Instagram.
If you’ve landed on this page, chances are you’re about to have a baby, yay! I would love to take your newborn pictures – whether you opt for an in-home, studio, or outdoor session.
I usually suggest taking newborn pictures within the first 2 weeks of baby’s life. Here’s why:
But if the first 2 weeks don’t work for you – don’t worry! We can still capture the loveliness of your newborn for a few more weeks. Just reach out to me and we will figure out a time that works best!
Time of day will depend on where we’re shooting and what the light looks like. Let’s work closely together to figure it out!
A lot of my clients prefer to take newborn pictures in their homes which can be so cozy. But please, if you opt for this option, do not feel like you have to clean your whole house! I understand you just had a baby and I’m really good at scootching things over and making sure we have a nice clean shot for you.
If you want the in-home look but aren’t up for a session at your place, there are a lot of great studios that replicate the comfortable vibe of doing it at your house. But all you have to do is show up and smile.
Sometimes clients want to do their newborn session outside and we can definitely make that work! This can sometimes make getting all of the detail shots a little more difficult, but don’t worry – I’ve got you.
I would love to take your newborn pictures! If you’re interested in shooting with me, please reach out to me here or follow along with my work on Instagram.
Summer is right around the corner which means it’s time to book your family picture session!
I love taking your family pictures year-round, but there is something about Summer family pictures that really takes the cake for me. And if I had to be honest, I think it’s all the GREEN!! Is it just me, or can you not get over all the pretty greens Utah pops off with during the Summer? Ugh, so dreamy.
Anyway – when you hire me to capture your family, you’re also hiring my extensive knowledge of gorgeous Utah locations that cannot be beat. So if you’re looking for a stunning backdrop for this year’s family picture session, I’ve got you covered. From mountains, fields, salt flats and beyond, I can help you find a place that will help your family shine that you’ll adore seeing on your walls (or just as your phone’s wallpaper) for years to come!
During summertime, I offer a large variety of full and mini sessions at various locations! But no matter how long your session goes or where we shoot, you can expect a professional gallery of light and airy photos you will cherish. With a mix of lifestyle and traditional poses, I capture your family and each member’s individual personalities in a way you’re going to gush over.
Because mini family sessions are more condensed, we will work fast to get smiles and frame-worthy moments. But if you’re hoping to spend a little more time to get a complete laundry-list of all the picture combinations you’re dreaming of, a full session is the amazing option for you.
Because demand for Summer family pictures is so high, I recommend reaching out and booking here as soon as possible! But don’t worry – if you’ve got a last-minute request, I’m happy to help out there, too.
Follow along on my Instagram for session announcements and the dates I’m planning on being at certain locations. I can’t wait to take your family pictures this year!
Lately I’ve been doing a lot of newborn sessions. I absolutely LOVE capturing your sweet new babes and the special glow of new mamas + dadas together. And even though I have a 9 month old, it’s giving me all the baby fever. So in the spirit of baby love, I’m rounding up all of my best ideas for baby gifts you (and your friends) will obsess over.
All of my favorite baby gifts follow the same formula – it combines something practical with something fun! As a mom of 3, I know how important the useful registry item gifts are AND I know how much fun it is to pick out something cute for your friends.
I would LOVE to take pictures of your growing family! If you’re interested in shooting with me, you can reach out to me here and we will get a time set up. I usually like to shoot within 2 weeks of baby’s birth to make sure we get all of the beautiful tiny baby details!
Spring is right around the corner which means it’s time to start booking family pictures at the Utah State Capitol. This location boasts gorgeous pink cherry blossoms, gorgeous green lawns and the State Capitol in the background.
This location has it ALL. From gorgous pink cherry blossoms, a white gravel path, sprawling green lawns and stunning white architecture in the back, there is something for everyone here.
Taking cherry blossom family pictures in the early spring is one of my favorites. I love how the location contributes a soft and airy light to your photos, giving you a beautiful edit that will shine on the walls of your home (or your instagram page). The pictures captured here are often my client’s very favorites.
The Utah Capitol is such a dreamy location for Spring family pictures and I love to lean into the theme! Soft spring colors work SO WELL here. I often recommend my families wear something that will compliment the backdrop but won’t blend in. Tans, blues, greens, and even whites look incredible here. Or, if you’re feeling funky, we can even make brighter pops of color look fabulous too.
The cherry blossoms at the Utah Capitol are hugely popular for family pictures every year! Because of that, I like to offer mini sessions so multiple families can get their pictures here. I will be opening up those sessions on my Instagram with more instructions on how to book soon – follow along to make sure you don’t miss it! I CANNOT WAIT to capture your family here this year.
It would be an honor to take your family pictures this year! If you’re interested in shooting with me, please reach out to me here or follow along with my work on Instagram.
It’s that time of year again! I’m opening my books for mini sessions at the STUNNING Mona Lavender Fields. If you’re interested in booking a time slot, please reach out to me on Instagram and we will get you set up.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again – this is one of the prettiest backdrops for family pictures in Utah. I am obsessed with the way natural light bounces off the mountains to combine with the vibrant purples and greens of the Mona Lavender Fields, giving your photos the dreamiest hues ever.
But beyond that – look how this utah family picture location can absolutely make your family SHINE. While the landscape is unreal, it isn’t big or bulky in a way that would distract from what matters most – you. In fact, it stands back and looks pretty while letting your adorable group be the star of the show.
Good question! Because the Lavender Fields in Mona are so vibrant on their own, I love to keep outfits simple. Pastels, neutrals or earth tones are my favorite family picture color schemes at this Utah location.
I mean, can you even believe how pretty the pastel blue, green and beige combo worked here? UNREAL.
Because the Mona Lavender Fields charge photographers for sessions at their Utah location, I like to schedule mini sessions here to make it the most cost effective for my clients! I am currently taking interest for this location over on my Instagram account. Once I know how many families are hoping to snag pictures here this year, I will open up mini sessions for purchase with more instructions on how to book. I CANNOT WAIT to capture your family here this year.
